I originally planned to be a commercial artist - that changed when I discovered photography. My portfolio was accepted by the Art Center School in California; but, I could not raise the money for the tuition. So I took a less expensive path: The University of Memphis (my hometown) where I majored in Advertising. While in school, I worked at WHBQ-TV in the production department, art department, and was a photographer. I have spent most of my career in Advertising that has included Director of Advertising for First Union and several years in the advertising agency business.
